The Archive measures each bass drop as an audio specimen. The Arena tests what happens when two specimens collide.
Battle Protocol
ACM-3 does not simply compare total scores. Each card must perform across a sequence of acoustic combat phases.
Every specimen enters with the same integrity. Archive rank does not grant additional health.
Each battle can last five rounds. Every round emphasizes a different part of the drop.
Shock, aggression, attack behavior, class identity, and tension influence which specimen acts first.
Build strength, class behavior, traits, and successful exchanges increase pressure in later rounds.
Production improves structural resistance and reduces volatility. Better-produced drops perform more consistently.
A knockout ends the match immediately. Otherwise, the specimen with the most integrity after Round 5 wins.
A narrow range of controlled variation prevents closely matched specimens from behaving like identical equations.
Five-Round Sequence
The Arena follows the evolving structure of a bass drop rather than repeating the same damage calculation five times.
The first collision. Fast, aggressive, high-shock specimens can establish an immediate advantage.
Momentum begins to influence the fight. Strong builds and controlled force start shaping the match.
Structure, production quality, density, and complexity determine which specimen commands the exchange.
The Arena tests staying power. Sustain, weight, groove, and accumulated pressure become increasingly important.
The final exchange rewards tonal control, scale, harmonic payoff, class escalation, and surviving momentum.
Combat Identity
Classes shape how a specimen's effectiveness rises, falls, or remains stable across the five rounds.
Hits hardest in the early phases, then gradually loses its initial advantage.
Uses tension and release to dominate initiation, but loses efficiency in extended combat.
Builds pressure over time and becomes increasingly dangerous with every surviving round.
Gains strength after establishing rhythm and carrying momentum between phases.
Maintains stable output with lower performance variance throughout the entire battle.
Carries aggressive texture and steady pressure through multiple phases of the match.
Begins slowly, survives, and becomes most dangerous during the closing phases.
Uses tonal movement and harmonic payoff to become stronger in later phases.
A specimen's primary class defines its main combat curve. Its secondary class adds a smaller supporting influence.
Signature Behavior
Signature traits act as smaller acoustic modifiers. They do not replace the five scores, but they can determine the result when two specimens are closely matched.
Improves opening pressure and initiative behavior.
Strengthens the release into the initiation phase.
Helps preserve momentum between combat phases.
Improves structural resistance against sudden pressure spikes.
Preserves effective pressure during endurance and finale.
Rewards rhythm control and consecutive strong phases.
Helps cutting energy penetrate structurally stable opponents.
Makes a specimen more difficult to counter cleanly.
Improves tonal payoff and late-round consistency.
Two Different Records
Archive rank describes the drop as a complete analyzed audio event.
Arena performance measures how effectively that specimen fights against every other archived drop under ACM-3.
The public rules describe how ACM-3 behaves. Exact coefficients, trait weights, matchup adjustments, and internal calculations remain part of the DropDex model.
